Hey, COVID is still a thing… any requirements for vaccinations and/or testing?
Good question! Yes, COVID is still certainly a consideration and while we are much more confident in having this wedding now than we were at any point in the past couple of years that doesn’t change the fact that there’s still a significant risk present for those who come. There will be a lot of people in a single room dancing and eating and drinking, so we’ll most definitely be passing SOME germs back and forth. Our general guidance here is we recommend you be vaccinated before coming to minimize any significant risk due to infection and regardless of whether or not you are vaccinated please test yourself before arriving. While you might not be worried about it, there are a lot of people who are at higher risk and we want to do our part to keep them as safe as possible.
If you test positive, PLEASE don’t come. We’ll understand, trust us.
Are our kids invited to this wedding?
The short answer is: if we haven’t explicitly invited your children then no, they’re not invited to the wedding.
We understand that it’s difficult for parents to find child care and it’s especially hard when you’re traveling, and doubly especially hard if your children are really young. Hey, we’re new parents too—we get it. And while our kids are going to be in the wedding, they’ll only be there for a short time, so we will also be arranging for care for the twins.
We are in the process of asking around our network of friends so if you’ll be traveling with your little ones please feel free to reach out and ask if we have any recommendations or people we trust we can put you in contact with.
What should I wear to this wedding?
Cocktail attire. So, whatever that means for you. Some recommendations:
Women: Cocktail dress, fancy jumpsuit, etc.
Men: Suit and tie is always a good approach.
Just remember it’s mid-December, so dress warmly. Also no shirt, no shoes, no service.
We got you a gift like 2 years ago when you were supposed to get married. Do we need to get you another one?
What? No. Of course not. We’re just thrilled to be in the same room as you partying it up (finally). And be confident in knowing that your gift HAS gone to great use over the past couple of years. Seriously, we’ve used everything we’ve gotten a LOT through COVID times.
