2020 Wedding
Our wedding was originally supposed to be on March 21, 2020, but the world had other plans. After a year and a half of planning, we were a week away from the big day when the global pandemic shut everything down. We couldn’t even get a marriage license since City Hall had closed. Instead, Brian (best man) got ordained and Lindsay (bridesmaid) decorated our roof (yay quaranteam!), our families and wedding party surprised us on Zoom, and we had a spiritual (but not legal) wedding.
2021 Wedding
We tried to outsmart the pandemic by postponing our wedding by a year, thinking it was enough time for COVID to pass…but it wasn’t. As March 2021 drew closer, we knew that it wasn’t possible to have the celebration we always dreamed of. COVID 2, us 0. As vaccines started rolling out, we finally got our marriage license and made things official in Sea Girt on March 21, 2021. With both our parents in attendance (and playing officiant, florist, photographer, videographer, and caterer), Reverend James Kelly performed our ceremony with our siblings on Zoom and we legally became husband and wife!
2022 Wedding
After 2 postponements and 2 kiddos later, we are FINALLY getting the big wedding we have been planning since getting engaged in 2018. With Nate (left) and Luke (right) in attendance as our newest wedding party additions, we cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with all our friends and family.
So get those dancing shoes ready, warm up those singing voices, and let’s party like it’s March 21, 2020!
